The village of Lund is celebrating 125 years with a week of music, food and fishing from Wednesday August 20th to Sunday August 24th. Drop in and enjoy the scenery amid the celebrations.
Jazz at the Rodmay
Friday August 22nd, 7:30pm the Summer Quartet (Ariel Shetzen, Walter Martella, Rob Reed, Chris Brinton) will be jazzing it up at the Rainbow Room, Rodmay Hotel. Tickets are $12.50, available at Rock It Music and The Rodmay.
Beer on the Pier
Live music, food and beer will liven up the Westview Wharf on Friday August 22nd and Saturday August 23rd from 6pm to midnight. Tickets are $15. per night ($25. for both) and available at Rock It Music, Capone’s and Townsite Brewery. See you there!
Southern Belles Art Hop
Hop on board for this artists studio tour featuring 11 talented ladies with studios south of town. Paintings, jewellry, pottery will be displayed in four studios Saturday August 23rd and Sunday August 24th from 11am to 4pm. Watch for the balloon signs between Zilinsky and Phillips Roads.
Sunshine Music Festival
Music fans get your tickets. This annual festival is fast approaching. Labour Day weekend, Saturday August 30th and Sunday August 31st the sound of music will fill Palm Beach Park. Weekend Pass tickets are $50. and single day tickets are $30. (Students and Seniors are $40. and $25.)

In the Market for a Market?
Summertime and the markets are open! The Farmer’s Market located at 4365 McLeod Road is open Saturdays from 10:30am to 12:30pm and Sundays 12:30pm to 2:30pm, with offerings of produce, baked goods and arts vendors. Saturday features a storytime, and Sunday offers train rides. There is a shuttle operating from the Mall for $2. Read the Market Blog for interesting tidbits.
The Kelly Creek Garden Market is in full swing on Friday nights from 6pm to 8pm showcasing local produce and live music. It’s a fun place to hang out for a couple hours.
