Blackberry Festival

It’s that time again to honour our wild and delicious berry. The Street Party winds up the week of festivities on Friday August 16th on Marine Avenue. Enjoy music, vendors, meet your neighbours and of course, taste that berry in all it’s glory! The evening starts about 6:00pm. Fireworks, sponsored by Quality Foods, will light up the sky over Willingdon Beach, shortly after 10:00pm.

Arts Alive In The Park

Music, food, crafts and fine art are featured the entire weekend at Willingdon Beach, Saturday August 17th, from 11:00am to 7:00pm and Sunday August 18th, from 11:00am to 6:00pm. An excellent time to visit the best beach park on the coast!

Studio Tour

qathet region Studio Tour involves 32 local artists in 25 locations stretching from Lund to Lang Bay. Go at your own pace and see as many of the artists as you wish. The tour takes place on Saturday August 24th and Sunday August 25th, from 10:00am to 5:00pm. For the studio guide, check powellriverstudiotour.com

Farmer’s Market

The outdoor Farmer’s Market is now open for the season. Check it out any weekend all summer long on Saturdays from 10:30am to 12:30pm and on Sundays from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. Browse local vendors featuring fresh produce, baked goods and crafts while listening to live music on the Market Stage. Miniature Train Rides are also available on Sundays. Fun for the entire family! 4365 McLeod Road.
