BC Ferries

No matter how you slice it, it’s a two-ferry trip if you are coming from Vancouver. But you have choices! First option is to ferry from Vancouver to Vancouver Island, drive up to Comox and ferry from Comox to Powell River. The voyage from Comox is 1.5 hours. Second option is to ferry from Vancouver to the Lower Sunshine Coast (Gibsons) and drive north to Earl’s Cove and ferry to the Upper Sunshine Coast (Saltery Bay), then drive into Powell River. This stretch of the trip is 50 minutes. We try to keep the ferry schedule up to date here for you, but always double check with BC Ferries.
