Powell River Logger Sports takes the stage at Willingdon Beach for a busy weekend event in July. Competitors come from around the world and across our nation. This is serious stuff. Team work and skill combine for great entertainment in events such as Tree Climb, Axe Throw, several Springboard competitions and of course, Carving. Awards up for grabs are Canadian Championships and World Championships. The event takes place mid-July. If you are planning to visit us during the summer, this would be a great weekend for the entire family. Unfortunately, Covid-19 has cancelled this event until further notice. Stay tuned.

Naturally, since Powell River is the ultimate Canadian town, we have hockey! The Powell River Kings are our Junior A Hockey Club within the BC League of 17 teams. Season’s Tickets and Game Day tickets are available. The home team plays at the Hap Parker Arena.
